pain, muscle aches, tension, and headaches
"Neck disc" sounds strange!! Let me explain; the neck spine consists of some little bones, stacked on top of each other, called "vertebrae" and there's a cartilage material in between these vertebrae, called "discs" These discs' job is to allow free movement of these little bones on each other in order for you to move your neck and head easily and of course, to allow you to hold that weight of your head on those little vertebrae.

So, what's the pathology that may occur in such disc??

Herniation, yup, you've read it right. Tears may occur in the edges of these discs and then the cartilage material bulges (herniates) from that tear to exert pressure on the surrounding structures.
One of these structures is nerves. That's why you feel some pain, tingling or numbness sensation. It usually starts on the hands, shoulders or even the whole arms, then; may progresses to the head, causing headaches or even migraines.
Many patients reported having shoulder pain that progressed downwards to the hands and upwards to the head but these are advanced cases that require surgeries.

Why headaches?

Neck disc herniation, especially in the upper neck "C1-C3", affects the pain centers which are so close to the the nerve supplying the head causing headaches.

Why migraines?

Research studies suggested that herniated neck discs usually act as a stressor and a trigger of migraine episodes as well.
So, what are the causes of neck disc problems??
-
Sports injuries are the most common cause.
-
Wear and tear, which usually starts as early as the age of 30.
Now, enough with the disease and let's start talking about the treatment, let's get rid of these annoying symptoms and live freely with no pain.
Without pain medications, surgeries. and other invasive procedures, here in Muscular Rehabilitation Center of Florida and by our Spodak method, you will be free of your pain.
Research results stated that using neuromuscular therapy in neck disc problems have effectively improved the disease, relieving the symptoms including pain and muscle spams.
Researchers also noticed an increase in the patient functional activities after several treatment sessions.

The Spodak method:

It's all about knowing the root of the problem, treating it and relieving the annoying symptoms of course. How??
"Full history, full examination, taking a look at your medical reports"
